3 Day Rec-connect, Relax & Ride – Beach & Bush Camp #7 – Hunter Valley

Thank you for expressing an interest in booking you and your horse in to our Beach & Bush camp. Three days of instruction, learning, friendship and good fun. What more could you want?…….    “ok well how about ending the camp riding along the stunning Port Stephens Beaches.? Sound great???”

What is included:

• 3 Educational days of learning general horsemanship with groundwork & under saddle
• Horse Accommodation catered for in booking, share paddocks, some private paddocks & stabling option (*additional costs)
• Share room (king beds in main house at retreat – We have 6 twin share rooms & 3 bathrooms available,  Alternatively you can pay an additional fee @ chose a private studio room close by – *this option is booked directly to venue
• Breakfast & Lunch is provided daily,  – Day 1 evening meal offered as a group at Kersley Pub (8km away) – Day 2 evening meal at retreat – BBQ -BYO Meat around camp fire the venue offers this every sat night to guests for a relaxing evening
• Saturday am – relaxing yoga & meditation session provided at the retreat by Artistic wings of yoga
• Cold drinks & rea/coffee offered at indoor during day.

Clinic Outcomes:

• Learning the basic foundations of Adams 7 step training program, this clinic covers a mixture of ground work and ridden using a variety of stimulus activities for your horse to explore, riding in a group environment, the beach, obstacles
• Our format allows for opportunities to work in small groups, so more individual instruction.
• Implementing training tools & techniques to expand in your chosen discipline
• Ideal for horses and people at any stage, whet
• Re establishing your confidence and setting achievable goals.
• Improving your skills with like minded people, strengthening the connection with you and your horse in a safe, supportive environment.

Venue:

• Time for you to relax and unwind at this peaceful bush setting located in the Lower Hunter Valley – Our horse work is done at the new purpose built facility Oakfields & our accommodation is 2km down the road at the serene Hunter Valley Retreat
• Top class, Purpose built horse facilities perfect for our lessons and demos.

Accommodation Options:

• Share accommodation included for horse & rider
• Relax and unwind after riding, at this secluded property, explore the serene bush setting, creek’s & natural habitat or relax in the communal rec room

Format:

• Day 1 & 2 will be conducted at Oakfields Indoor Facility with small group sessions in both, ground work & ridden both days.
• Day 3 will be packing up camp & loading horses for a road trip (approx 40minutes drive to our fav riding spot 2 Jimmys Beach – Riders will need to be able to drive up to the beach independently on day 3 as it is conducted off site. After the beach ride camp will conclude.

Who:

Our camp is offered to participants over 16 years of age

Riders need to be able to independently care for their horses as well as being able to saddle up & ride at a controlled walk, trot etc & be confident to ride on the open beach assisted by our 3 assistants who will be mounted also. Not suited to total beginners who are still learning to ride. *(we have other clinics more suited to this)

What will it cost?

• Full registration – $1195 includes – Initial non refundable deposit of $195 to secure your spot (in line with our conditions on website for cancellation) Then two  (2) easy payments of $500  –    (includes breakfast, lunch, 3 days of tuition) RIDER MUST BE over 15 years of age and have a parent in attendance at all times.
• Non riding participant (viewing) $60 per day (includes Lunch) must be pre paid.
• Non riding participant 2 day rate $100 – (includes Lunch) feel free to come down to the beach and go for a walk, no charge this day lunch is available $15
